My first post here. I recently picked up a SF Rush alcatraz. Monitor (nt-27e) is in rough shape, has no blue and I'm sure it needs a cap kit. I've been looking in to a rejuvenation or some thing along those lines. My question is has anyone used one of those video converters you can get off eBay? I have a 27" tv that should fit, it has a composite input(yellow rca). I was thinking about using this until I can get the monitor repaired or buy a replacement.
Will picture quality suffer?
Any other thoughts on my plan would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

A TV w/ a converter would look bad, especially on composite... and if you do a search on the converters, lots of people seem to have problems getting them to work properly.

Hello, and welcome.. sounds like your montior board is going to need a good rework.. on top of your color problem a new flyback is a must for the 27'es you will have drifting problem with focus and screen. if you hit a dead end or just dont want to take the repair on yourself look me up... website link below. thanks and good luck.

Thanks for the replies. I'm afraid I just got myself a new project on my hands. I thought about redoing the chassis(my soldering skills are ok, but that just scares me). I'm just worried about the dead blue gun not sure if a rejuve will help, local TV guy wants to charge $75. $215 for maybe a working monitor, I can get a new one locally for $309. Looks like I'm gonna start setting aside some cash, should have found a cheaper hobby :)
