So going through these 2 RTRs I got yesterday I am in need of some advice on a couple of things ...

1 - Need a new power supply for one cab -- missing -- I see there are some on ebay for $59 before shipping -- is there another option out there than these?

2 - FANS -- holy moly the ones in the cab are stupid loud and obnoxious. Can I just grab a 120mm computer fan and run it off the power supply with a splitter (i.e. split off the HDD connector) and move on -- if so what kind of CFM should I look to grab? Bear in mind the longest these will probably be on is about 3 maybe 4 hours at one sitting.

3 - Steering wheel -- so I yank one of the steering wheels out to find there is a pot missing on it. Ok no problem that is orderable BUT looking at the other steering wheel there seems to be some sort of small shaft going from the end of the steering wheel column to the pot. Well this is missing on the other wheel. Does anyone know what this is or where I can get a replacement?

4 - Both my monitors need cap kits and are unusable at this time (bummer). I know they can be ordered from Bob Roberts but by the time I get the check to him and then get the package back at least a week will have past. I would like to get one of these up and running by next week if possible. Anywhere else to order these from even if I have to pay a couple of $$ more?

5 - Marquee -- looks like one of mine is cracked badly. I know gameongrafix has a repro but I just wanted to see how well everyone likes them and did anyone go for the "Ultimate" package?

6 - Both seats are missing the white "handle" that you grab to release the seat and slide it forward and backward -- is this a part that can be found as well or was this something that had been welded on at the factory?

I think that's it for now. Thanks for taking the time to review my questions.

I can't speak of you experience with Bob but if I email him to order a cap kit right now he will put it in the mail tomorrow at the latest and will possibly mail out today. He usually ships before he gets the check in hand. You of course need to put the check in the mail today or tomorrow as well. Bottom line is I would probably have the order by Friday. Actually Bob usually gets my orders to me faster than any source that accepts Pay pal or credit card payment.

$59 for a power supply is not that bad. I would have to look at the manual to be sure but I bet the voltages are the same as a standard switcher so I suppose if you wanted to be cheap you could get a standard switcher for like $20-30 and wire it in there. It won't be plug and play though.

You can basically wire whatever fan you want in there.

You say games are missing the white handle. Do you mean the white knob or the whole lever that locks and releases the seat? Honestly not sure where to get either unfortunately but very few of these games that I see still have the white knob. Most people simply use the metal lever to move the seat. I think the white knobs came off easily and most were pulled off when on location. i guess happ may sell them. they do sell the whole plastic seat so they may sell those parts too. not sure.

Are they making a droning noise that vibrates the cabinet? Healthy fans sound more like rushing air than anything; your fans may genuinely be bad.

Steering pots have a pretty long actuator on them -- have you checked that this shaft isn't part of the pot itself?

You could assemble your own capkit using an electronics supplier like Mouser or Digikey. I've done it for PC motherboards in the past, it's pretty easy assuming you can read the ratings on the original caps.

Ehh I chatted with Bob via email and already mailed him a check today. Seems like the best way to go and he isn't too far from me so I think early next week they will be here. Probably the simplest/best route.

Fans are very very loud, vibrating etc - it is not just rushing air (wish it was LOL)

Pot - all of the pics I have seen show a small shaft on the end of the pot. Definitely not long enough to reach where this is on the column.

Looking in the manual shows a "coupler" at the end of the shaft and then the pot and think that's what is missing but there is nothing like this on Happ's site.
