So those of you that have this title at home, what do you think of its replayability? If I bought a single unit would I be happy or should I try two (I want two really :) )

You need 2 :) Had mine (2049 SE) for several years now in the garage, still running strong.

IMHO Rush 2049 kicks the crap out of any other drivers I've played (disclaimer, I haven't played that many others either).
I really don't like the cruisin' series at all.

That said... 1 is better than none, 2 is _way_ better than 1, etc...

cheers

badass.

I stayed a weekend at starved rock state park.

IN THE POOL AREA they have a rush2049. Was literally sweating.

I played that bizznatch all weekend man, cool game. THe controls are a bit unrealistic but it was cool man. Id like to have one anyways.

2 is definitely better than 1, but a single Rush 2049 is a lot better than single of most racers. There is lots of replay value even single player because of the coins (100 hidden and not so hidden coins per level) and finding all the secrets and getting upgrades... along with it just being a fun racing game.

I worked for an op, and I can tell you that Rush 2049 was the best driving game, hands down. Some of the new ones may be better but they're pretty cost prohibitive. With that said, I doubt their better, either, lol.

It's fun as hell and never gets old, they spent a lot of time I guess designing it. The tracks have shortcuts that are designed so well it's hard to get them perfect every time and the whole way the game is designed makes it where you want to play just one more race. It's hard to make a game easy enough to be fun but hard enough to be replayable. The quality of that game is on par with Midway/Atari's other stuff, awesome driver.
