I have just been able to get two untested Arkanoid boards cheaply, though upon inspection, I have just noticed that they don't use a normal Jamma Harness. While I see I can buy something for $50, I would much rather try to wire it up my self to save a few dollars. Anyone know what parts would be good for this? I am guessing a 44 pin edge connector, but what would could I use for the second set of pin, that are used for the power? And is there any sort of double sided 56 pin slot I could use to solder the wires from the two harnesses to, and just plug into my current Jamma harness? And where would be a good place to buy all of this?

Also, while it may not be the best way to play, would there be any problems trying to control the game using a joystick, so I can test the two boards?

I'll attach a picture of one of the boards if needed for reference. Also, the main site has a copy of the manual here: http://www.arcade-museum.com/manuals-videogames/A/arkanoid.pdf

Thanks for the help

You need the 44 pin edge connector, a Jamma 56 pin edge connector with fingerboard (you can get my with just the fingerboard if you solder directly to it), a 12 position (if I counted it correctly in your pic) .156 connector, and the wire to build the parts. Bob Roberts sells the parts, and he even has everything but the .156 connector kitted ready to build.

Everything is listed on this page:

I bought the parts needed to build mine for about $6. I already had some wire for connecting the adapter to the molex power plug on the side....
