Hey all well this is my second time ever to own a vending machine. First was at my last station in CA, now had to get another one for my new station here in UT. I went in wanting two and ended up with 7...Man O Man are they heavier then i had ever thought. Lucky everywhere we went had forklifts, made it much more easier. I got a SnackShop 6000 came with mars coin mech and mars bill acceptor.
I have a manual for the machine but where (or even do I need them) Manuals for the mars coin mech and also the bill acceptor???? I would like a manual for everything not sure why just want to..LOL anyways any help would be great...

Mars Coin: MC-5000, serial #50918858, part #91-99-344-1

Mars Bill acceptor: L005-U4C, SERIAL #J6800476, part #91-30-029-1

Here's the dip switch setting for many Mars products, including older stuff:

The L-005-U4C bill acceptor is one of the oldest bill acceptors Mars made dating back into the early 1980's. It is a 115 volt AC unit with upstacker for $400 capacity. Accepts (depending on dip switch settings and machine it's installed in) both one dollar and 5 dollar bills. Not updated or supported by Mars any more. However, a company called Pyramid Acceptors does make a retrofit circuit board for the L-005 and VFM series bill acceptors to allow them to accept the latest currency:

Some history on the L-005 series. It was replaced by the VFM (Vending Food Machine) series which was in turn replaced by the VN series (a.k.a. the Series 2000).

The Mars MC5000 series of coin changers was obsoleted a long time ago, but several companies still repair them like Capital Vending and Vendor's Exchange International.

The "T-Handle" style lock assembly is very common on many vending machines. The "inner cylinder" is replaceable with many brands and styles. All are generally interchangeable.

Inner cylinder locks for vending machines can also be bought at your local locksmith shop. Not every shop carries them. Look for the bigger locksmith shops to have them. Generally you can buy just one.

Several years ago, Crane Merchandising Systems bought up several longtime established vending machine manufacturers and merged them all under the Crane name: National Vendors, Dixie-Narco, and Automatic Products.

These companies are excellent with parts, repairs, and upgrades to your machines:

BTW, Automatic Products machines are very high quality and very reliable. We had many of them (mostly cigarette machines) on our route back in the day.
