Have you done it? I just did, and have done so a few times before. Someone runs an ad saying they want such and such game, I know I have the parts on hand so I respond with "Hey, I have that game and it's for sale". Then the buyer gets excited and asks for pics, and I have to quick run home and whip the kit and or random parts into a generic cabinet to do a photo shoot. Behold the Final Fight machine I didn't have yesterday:

I am replacing the leaf wicos and buttons with generic microswitch joys and buttons, and I have the CPO on order from Edward to replace the Altercbeast CPO (buyer is aware of this), but otherwise, I am selling a game today that I didn't own yesterday. Nice. I love it when a plan comes together.

haha , thats cool !

Yeah and I think it will actually look pretty good (dare I say almost dedicated?) with the proper CPO in place. I had to cut an inch off of the marquee's width, but better that than it being too narrow and leaving a gap. Guy's getting the game he wants, I make a little money and free up some much needed work space. WIN.

That's a really good shot of the game screen while it's on... oh, wait...

Well see, that's just it. The PCB has not yet been installed. I only had time for the artwork this morning. PCB is sitting in my test rig waiting to go into this fine machine.

I used to buy games from operators and resell them on Ebay before picking them up. Oh those were the days...

Not quite the same but that's all I've got.

So what game is that bad screen burn from?

Draw Poker I think. The monitor chassis has been rebuilt with new caps, flyback and HOT. I wish I could fix tube burn, but if I could, I'd be keeping that fine monitor and throwing another burnt one in it's place. I am selling this machine for a pittance, and the guy is fully aware of what he is getting. A fully working, rock solid and blemish free cabinet with a sweet game inside. We're all winners in this one. Even you.

Does Final Fight even have a dedicated cab ? I don't think it does . Switch that CPO and I think its a very fine looking Final Fight . I like that cab , I'd put Bomb Jack in there and be happy . I'm a wood grain fan .
