Wow Seems to be allot of confusion on this matter.
Here is how I understand it:
Buyer sends Seller $ as goods = seller pays fees.
Buyer sends Seller $ as gift = buyer pays fees IF its a credit card, bank cards are FREE.
Paypal does not insure GIFT payments.
Therefore if a Seller would just add the fees into the selling price, the buyer could send as goods and be protected.
Paypal fees:
$10 - .59
$20 - .88
$50 - $1.75
$100 - $3.20
$500 - $14.80
$1000 - $29.30
So Sellers just do everyone a favor and add the fees into your price and be done with it.
Most items I have seen on here are $200 and below so your talking $6.10 in fees and less.
What really gets me is when the seller includes shipping in their price then ask for a gift payment.
Come on! Do the math, you already added shipping just add paypal fees too.
$20 shipped becomes $21 shipped.
$50 shipped is $52 shipped.
$100 shipped is $104 shipped.
WHOOPIE!!
