That's how it started for me 10 years ago - didn't know a thing about pins. Picked up a SF2 pin because I thought it'd be neat. Now I'm in pretty deep! Never lost the thrill for vids though. Just picked up a Time Crisis 3 twin for $100 for the garage arcade.

I started with 1 and told myself that would be it. Now I have 7. I have spent a good chunk of change too, but it's been over a 10 year period. I still have most of my vids, although a few are in need of some work.
Maybe look at taking the family to a show. Then you and the family can check out a large amount of pins ranging from EM up to the latest and greatest. Never know what you'll end up liking or maybe the whole family will want something.
