I normally sell games as a whole and probably spend more money then I should bringing them back to life. I'm looking to sell a daytona usa upright. It seems the prices for the parts are more then the game as a whole. What is a good asking price for a working upright?

Definitely part out. I bet you'll make 2x the cash versus selling as whole. Lots of people in ownership of twin units now days and such who need parts to fix them up.

if you were here in the Seattle area you could easily sell that; i know several collectors who want a Daytona upright but can't find one.

Uprights are harder to find and most likely more collectible than the large twin sitdown just due to size and convenience. Interesting dilemma.

The parts broken down could yield you up to $400 (my estimate).

Consider the time, effort and possible eBay/paypal fees to accomplish
all the individual sales and pay yourself $10/hr and subtract this from 400.

You might be better off just selling it as a complete machine for $300-400.
If you were local, I'd consider buying it myself just to link up my solo unit.

Ok so part out will make you cash for sure but other folks here are definitely right and make a great point, the upright for daytona is a bit of a rarity. Can fit in places where space is tight and they still want a daytona.

I wouldn't be shy to ask $350-375 for a fully working upright in my region. Folks around here wouldn't pay more than that.

...surprised anyone here would +1 parting out a non-junk, desirable, dedicated, perfectly fine, working game.

I never seen a upright Daytona USA. definitely still a desirable game and the fact that it's an upright makes it a really nice cab. You might be able to get good money for this cab because it's Upright. if it was a sit down, then I completely understand the desire to part it out for the money.

wouldn't hurt to try to sell it complete for a good price, if it doesn't work out part it out and get your money out of it. A lot of people would appreciate the parts.

i could make 2x the money and actually make the game go away by parting out my virtuafighter. But i just cant do it.

I wish i wish i wish i had the cash i would take to own that game. ALways wanted one. YOu arent interested in a trade or trade+ cash deal are you?
