If you had a chance to buy either game (but only one), which would you buy based on:

1) GAMEPLAY - as in fun factor, replayability, and reliability.

For purposes of this discussion, I don't care about the cabinet graphics or style (Full Size vs. Cabaret etc.).

Your thoughts?

Monaco GP all the way. So cool, no CPU, all TTL and such a great game. Mini cabinet is the best.

I just did a "frontal restore" on this one, sides still look like dogshit. No repro side art available, so I am not going to bother.

And after just a couple hours, so popular!

My best score so far, I will hit 10K. You get another car every 2K.

Thank you for the feedback guys! Including a PM, the feedback was UNANIMOUS for Monaco GP. I know what I have to do now!

I guess I need to play Monaco - I love my turbo mini but have nothing to compare it to .

Good Job on the restore bro.........love me some MGP

Another (late) vote for Monaco GP. I've had both games, both are great, but Monaco is just so accurate and reflex and skill-based, the mechanics of the game play are excellent.

I own a Turbo and really want a Monaco also. Monaco has headlights in the tunnels, yo.

Though I would like a Pro Monaco but that will never happen.

Great effect, and you can "play" the tunnels in attract mode. Steering inputs must still work, with only the car blanked out. when you get in the tunnels, you can see this.

Annnd, that's what I got...a Pro Monaco GP. It the cool full size cab like Turbo but with the "better" game of Monaco GP. Trust me, this is #2 on my list of I never thought it would happen. It DOES happen sometimes. Of course, one of those times, I had to drive from TX to MN but it DOES happen. At least this one was in the same state!

Monaco's gameplay is "fairer" IMO. Turbo's got too many bugs with collision detection and scene changes to make it long term fun. FWIW I've maxed out Monaco GP's score and set the WR on Turbo so I've played both a lot. I'd go with Monaco.

I was waiting for someone to compare this. I love Turbo but man, there's some unfair shit that happens in that game you can't do anything about sometimes.

Yeah, I could see either/or being the preferred game. Monaco essentially has an ending when you max the score and it's a pretty short game. Turbo has no such ending but will make you throw things so YMMV.

Nice, I didn't know if the score just rolled or if there was an ending. Good to know.
