just out of curiosity I was wondering how many here have a Turbo cabaret. The klov list shows a combination of the owners across all of the cab styles but I want to see how many have the little one. Mine got delivered today.

Got one.
Yours looks nicer.
Mine plays blind.
I have one, too. I think it's a very enjoyable driving game. Mine's in great shape, but it doesn't have side-art. I finally got the shifter knob on mine. Yours looks sweet! Those and Monoco GP cabaret games have been floating around for sale lately.
I just got one, it needs a monitor, a shifter and one heck of a cleaning but I think I'll get it working. Is replacement side art available anywhere?
I got one. Two fully working boardsets, one with encrypted CPU/roms and one without. The mini is a great form factor and design with the LED scoring.
The game actually get more play equally by men and women, and gets more play than most of my other games, which is surprising. I actually would prefer Pole Position or a newer higher res driving game over Turbo (since Turbo is so hard) but seems others really like it.
I also have purchased some extras of the somewhat rare/hard to find analog 74LS626 chips that control the height of the trees and buildings. These sometimes are bad and if it's not a weak power supply it may be these chips.
I might even have an extra sound board. PM if interested in either of these things.
One note: The boards are highly sensitive to voltage. Even a slight change in voltage can cause the cars to flicker, or the trees/buildings to disappear or be short/tall, sides of road to turn black, etc.. I actually found most parts of the board were getting 4.25 volts but still running when I first got it. Finally got it to around 4.75 at the farthest spot and is reliable. Adding more +5V lines to distribute voltage would not be a bad idea if you're having problems.

I flatbed scanned (yes, that was an interesting experience) the sides of my cab about 3 years ago and emailed them to someone on the newsgroups that was asking for them and was going to have them reproduced. I emailed them about 6 months ago to get the status, but never heard back.
Regarding the shifter: Mine simply fell to the bottom when I got it. No resistance. The reason was that the two dimples that hold the catch ball for L and H had been chiseled out from use and formed a complete smooth channel in the metal. To fix this, I put two pieces of balled-up putty at the two ends then filled the rest of the channel with epoxy. Once hardened, I removed the putty balls and was left with the original 2 dimples. Reassembled and it's worked fine ever since. Eventually will need replacing again, but was a quick and easy fix.

I have one but haven't gotten it all running yet. I should have everything I need but have just got too distracted with other projects and other things. Wish I could find some side art for it though.
