I have been messing with Sega18 boards for a bit and trying to get as many of them running on the same (5987) daughter board.

The latest I have gotten running is a prototype that pushes the limits of the hardware a bit and is so far, pretty fun.

It is called Hammer Away, its a helicopter shmup.

This is NOT a new release, I am simply documenting a bit better for anyone who is interested in converting one themselves and including renamed bin files and jumper settings for ease of burn and install.

Original info pulled from @nazerine

Notes:
I have a ridiculous number of 27c040 eproms, so I have included doubled up images of all files, which is what I used.
I have relabeled the files for location names on the 5987 daughter board (this is the larger S18 daughter board with the custom IC on it)

The ROMs fail in test mode on original hardware test screen, I checked MAME and it does the same, so I am assuming its normal and with being a proto not a big surprise

18x 27c020 or 27c2001
OR
18x 27c040 or 27c4001

1x 10mhz or faster 68000 CPU
** NOTE ALL EPROMS ARE THE SAME, there is no NON-JEDEC 27c100 for sound like a lot (all?) of the other S18 games use. This means the jumpers have to be changed.

Installation on your Sega System 18 with 5987 Daughter Board:

IC4 - Remove MCU from slot (if present)
IC1 - Replace FD1094 CPU (if present) with 10mhz or faster standard 68000

Jumpers for 5987
