I'm a happy camper because my SuperGT twin is now up and running! I had to take apart both cabs completely to get them into my basement. I had to fix a few things, such as gear shift, steering pot/volume, power cord and break into the locks.

This is a very fun and challenging racer.

I put a good deal of miscellaneous info and pics on my web site regading SuperGT Take a look at www.aaarpinball.com and use the SuperGT link, if interested.

Nice write-up. I laughed at the audio part because I did the exact same thing. I have those long handled Radio Shack pots on my SGT, too. I actually prefer them as they make adjusting the sound easier when reaching into the coinbox blind.

Interesting that you removed the entire monitor housing. I've considered doing that, but never made the leap. Was it difficult to put it back together after doing that?

Thanks guys. I will keep adding stuff as I do more. I still need to get the monster topper installed. Someone cut one of the molex connectors and I will need to look into that.

Regading the monitor housing... Not a huge deal but just takes time. I did run into a big prob, however. One of the screws that is almost inaccessible was locked in place. I got so angry with it that I almost drilled a hole in the side if the cab to get I out. Luckily, I eventually prevailed. You need a flexible drill extension to get at the screws holding the wire mesh in place on each side of the monitor.

I needed to remove the monitor becase I could move the cab and monitor as one. Too heavy! Now that the twins are in the basement, it will be a big hassel to ever get them out!

Welcome to the club. Only way to have a driving game is to have a dual. Man, I can't believe you went that far to fix a SSGT. Enjoy!

In a perfect world I would have got a second Daytona 2, but that did not seem to be in the cards.

The repair work was not really that hard. Taking it apart (both!) was the biggest time consumer.

SuperGT is a great racer, so it is worth it.
