Sega Super GT or Outrun 2?

Well, as most would say, both are awesome games. If I had to choose between the two, I would get Outrun 2. If you're a fan of either though you really can't go wrong. Both have great replay value and great(but different) racing mechanics. Both also have kick ass music and cars...but Outrun has my vote in that department. Can't beat Splash Wave and Magical Sound Shower :)

Well, both are great games. Super GT has a wide variety of cars and tracks and some awesome music. A SGT cab also offers the chance to run other Model 3 racers such as Daytona 2, Sega Rally 2, Dirt Devils, Emergency Call Ambulance, and Lemans 24.

Outrun 2 is an excellent choice, as well. While the Chihiro platform doesn't give you much diversity (the only other racer is WMMT2), you can plug a Naomi 2 directly in and run the Initial D series or maybe Crazy Taxi. The major bummer with this cab is the GDROM setup, which is more problematic than the Model 3 stuff.

If you are just comparing the games head-to-head, OR2 is the clear winner. However, SGT is an incredible racer, too, and the easy conversion to other stellar racers is something to consider.

Really, either way, you win.

Never played the Outrun 2 but it is very colorful. But my vote goes for Sega GT. In my area, you can get one for 800 on a good day at the auction. I imagine Outrun 2 is more.

Tough decision I would say. Radiac does make a good argument about the platforms. I would hold off on Outrun 2 and get SSGT. They are cheap. The game play is awesome even to today's graphics standards. When time comes, get Outrun SP 2. More cars more tracks. Also different hardware from outrun 2. Atleast that's what I plan to do if SP comes my way.
