Hi, I have a Sega Super GT that seems it be having a link issue. If I use one optics cord and just make a loop and set both as masters they will boot and play although not linked togahter. If I try to hook them up right and set a slave game as soon as it looks for more games it says cancelled on the monitor and just keeps doing that over and over. Do I need toi change the dip switches or am I missing something? Thanks

Check the simple stuff first. Make sure both sides are set to the same region, same machine type, and one is slave and one is master. Double check all connections. Sometimes the opti-coupler can be troublesome, so try to connect the two boards together with a single set of cables (flip the seats back and connect from there). If it is still not linking, pick a side and reverse the connectors while it is searching.

If none of this works, you may have a flaky comm board.

I assume you have the cables hooked up properly? IIRC it should go Rx to Tx on the other, and vise versa. I also believe they're standard fiber cables like you'd find at a Home Theater store, so if you think your cable is faulty, it shouldn't be tough to find a replacement.

Hi, I did teh seat and single cable idea. Still the same. If I move that cables it says to check them so it knows there wrong. I am leaning to a bad comm board. Thanks
