SOLD

Everything works fine. Does not have the locks or motherboard present. Has a decent 25" WG U2000 monitor with no burn and is wired JAMMA with two joysticks - three buttons each. Both coin mechs work fine. The coin bucket is there. Asking $125 for it.

Such a steal! Too far away for me... I really want one of those STV cabs and wanna swap some new art on it.

Fun trivia about those things, they were made by a company that makes plastic garbage bins.

Have you ever played on one? I actually really want to build a STV into a VF sega cab instead. I think it woukld be more awesome.

This is a great deal as it looks to be in great shape. Anyone want the STV board/cart to complete the cab, let me know.

I used to play on a virtua fighter remix cab back in the day at a local pizza place. they are decent cabs, the entire thing is ABS plastic for the most part, almost looks like an american candy cab, the only ones I've ever seen were virtua fighter remix and die hard. The CP flips up just like the japanese cabs, the coin slots are dog ugly tho IMO. They actually sold terrible when they were out, probably because the selection of american STV carts is pretty poor. I see die hard cabs cheap all the time.

I always thought it might be an interesting undertaking to try and cut one down just above the coin box and make it candy sit down size. Since it's plastic you could just bondo/sand and re-paint it. I'm also curious if the monitor could be flipped, since the CP only has 3 buttons it might be a nice shmup cab. There was only one vertical STV game, but it was released in the US (Shienryu).

Yeah I actually want to use a Virtua Fighter (wooden) cab as a home for my STV board.
Those are dirt cheap and I have all wood cabs in my garage even after I had one of the best candy cabs. Namco Excellena.

I think they only released these as Remix and mostly as Die Hard Arcade... which I love.
I also have a collection of STV carts. Radiant Silvergun - VFRemix - DHA - Golden Axe - Funky HB - Get Bass - Decathalete - Columns - Baku Baku

Dedicated VF/VF2 cabs are really nice. Every time I see a clean cheap one its too far away.

It's a great deal for a JAMMA cabinet even without a board, but buyer beware on that particular cab design.

I had one and due to lack of double or oversized doors it had to be almost completely disassembled to get it in and out of my house. Personally I'd have to take off the steel base piece, control panel, and the front half of the cab where the coin bucket mounts IIRC. Even after that the odd cabinet shape would still make it a bitch to get in the door. And then because of the way the plastic flexes it is a PITA to reassemble as well.

But if you have the room and some big doors it makes a really bad ass generic MAME or JAMMA cabinet - 2 speaker setup, easily modified control panels, badass oversized marquee, nice monitor w/ remote controls, and the damn thing is nigh indestructible. My only other gripe is the creaky plastic noises it made during intense play, and I guess YMMV on that one.

Sorry btw not trying to shit on your thread, just trying to save the guys with no space and single doors some time. I actually liked this JAMMA cab more than the one I have now, but got sick of moving it and needed something w/ a vertical monitor.

Yeah, it's big and awkward. It's the only cab that I was unable to move into my gameroom before I trasformed my living room into my gameroom. Even if it was disassembled I wouldn't have gotten it in my old gameroom.
