SEGA Sheriff

I bought it on eBay last weekend, so today I wound up taking the day off to drive to Vegas pick it up.

Left Arizona this morning at 6:30AM when it was dark and didn't get back till 6:10 when it was getting dark. Long trip, but well worth it IMO.

I had never seen this game before, but instantly fell in love with it and had to have it.

It doesn't seem to be listed in VAPS and I haven't been able to find all that much online.

From what I can gather it was manufactured in September of 1977 (which is really late for an EM game).

It pretty low serial number #78, so I'm guessing they didn't make too many of these?

I found a couple of sites that references it but say very little (one is even this exact machine).

https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/229047-sega-sheriff-game-1977?in=1717-activity

The second link is this machine.

The people I got it from got it in a defaulted storage locker in Vegas.

The cabinet is very small (about the size of a cabaret).

Its also made out of very thin plywood so its light 1/2 inch sides and 1/4 inch back door.

Would break pretty easy if it took a beating (in fact theres some cabinet separation at the bottom I need to fix asap).

Anybody seen one of these or got any information on it?

Fucking dope game. Thanks for sharing.

I am restoring two Sega Sheriff games. Both are missing the upper back doors. Can someone help me with a good photo of the back door? I am reproducing all of the cabinet artwork, inside cardboard stuff, front glass, and the plastic cowboy. I just need the back door for the artwork and to make doors.

I have a wiring diagram, manual and a diagram for the 2 game 25 cent board if anyone needs a copy.

If anyone needs replacement items let me know ASAP. Will be running parts in the next few weeks. I don't have prices yet but charges will be about what I pay.
