I have a twin cab sega rally with a monitor issue soh ere's a bit of background:
1 - The cab was working fine, then one of the monitor start having a pink hue. After a lot of trial and error I decided to remove the crt and put lcd tv instead and buy 2 rgb signal converters.
2 - Upon installation the picture still had a pink hue.
3 - I pulled out the pcb and chane every capacitors of both sets (yes all 166 of them)
4 - I plugged the pcb's back and the picture seems to have both colors fine but I could'nt get the video signal to sync and it kept scrolling around.
5- I tried a lot of settings with the converter and find out that 800x600 seems to be the right one. At one moment both converter we're able to provide a signal pretty ok, one with correct color but syncing issue and the other one with pink hue but well synced picture.
6 - The converter says they can accept power adapter ranging from 5v to 12 volt. At one time there was a power adapter of 12 v and 2A on the converter that kind of died on me. Now I'm using the 5 v from the power supply on the converter that had correct colors and bad sync. With correct voltage it now offer a pink hue but with good syncing.
7- Now I'm looking forward to buy 2 new converter since there are pretty cheap and have them both powered by the cabinet 5V.
Any other cues from here would be greatly appreciated. Please!!!
