Greetings.
WTB: Sega Quartet/Quartet 2 - 315-5194 (AKA C8751H-88 - L5260420)
I recently picked-up a Sega Quartet running on 16A hardware, not the "Pre-System 16" hardware. Someone converted it to Shinobi, so as long as I can find the 315-5194 (AKA C8751H-88 <L5260420>), then it should be easy enough to convert back. Both Quartet/Quartet 2 16A and "Pre-System 16" boardsets have 22 total EPROMs, and thanks to pictures on the ole Internet, I know the correct EPROM locations based upon the EPR lables.
In doing some research, I also noticed that the System 16A hardware only came with Rev. or Rev. A stickers, while the "Pre-System16" hardware came in both Rev. A and Rev. D. versions. The major difference is the Rev. A of both System 16A and "Pre-System 16" use the 315-5194, while the Rev. D. uses just a stub, the 171-5468 PCB. My System 16A has that stub, so I am wondering if Quartet will run with it rather than the 315-5194. Both of my other Quartet and Quartet 2 "Pre-System 16" are Rev. A and have the 315-5194, so I doubt it.
