Wondering how much people are getting Blast Citys for nowadays - 4 or 5 years ago when I got mine they were about $700-$800 for a working one that was jamma ready and no pcb

Also I have a Naomi Universal Cab - VGA only Nanao monitor; was a 18-wheeler that was converted. In there I have a naomi net dimm with a raspberri pi setup.

How much would the cab be worth WITHOUT the net dimm setup?

Also, how much is a net dim with raspberri pi setup worth?

Any info appreciated!

Following up on this one - Naomi Universal with Netboot Setup. Seen listed in my area for around $2500 with netboot ; $1800 without .

Any info greatly appreciated!

1800 is a lot for a Universal. You can get a Net or New Net for that. Universals are definitely less desirable (I think they're neat though).

Netboot setups seem to be all over the place. 4-700 depending on your luck/timing.

The NetBoot kind of sucks though because you have to select a game every time. It doesn't boot directly to one game if you want. Am I mistaken in that? Because I want to pull mine out and out MvC2 back in it.

If you are in California, I can see the other cabs being more available. On the other side of the country, I've rarely seen them come up.
I've never actually seen a net city or new net city. (Though I don't know the differences between them outside the tri-sync monitor)

The Netboot does have to boot every time, but if I recall it remembers the last game booted in the selector, so you just press the button to load the last game.

You have to select the game every time. It's too similar to mame for me and I'm pulling mine out. I wish there was a batter replacement for Naomi.

i guess either I'm unlucky, filthy rich, or just plain naïve to Naomi pricing...

I have purchased all this shit regardless (some of it was NOT easy to find), but here's my breakdown (not selling anything):

I don't know much about the current prices, but I do know when I got my naomi cab four years ago, generally this hobby was cheaper.

I bought mine as a broken 18 wheeler for $200, but it had the power supply, JVS IO, Naomi 1 board, etc.

I had to get a whole new control deck (though I had control panels and sticks/buttons), get the bios, netboot setup etc.

After all was said and done, I had about $850 in it, but I did get the cab cheap as a driving game, and with monitor and game pcb issues.

This was in 2018 though.

How much is a solid 7 or 8 out of 10 condition Blast City cabinet (Original CP, Monitor, PSU, etc but no game board) even on the West Coast these days?

IMO, bare minimum on the East Coast (and in the Dirty South in particular) is $1,500 nowadays. I paid $1,000 semi-locally 4ish years ago (with a CPS2 and MVS-1) and it was a 7 on cab condition but a 10 on the Toshiba tube (which is why you buy these things). A local on another forum sold his this year for $2,500 without a board and it had a monitor issue if I recall.

Generally from what I can tell, JDM candy cabs sell for $500-$600 less on the West Coast than what they cost back East.

man, i really got to setup my naomi 2, seeing as i have 100% of the entire setup!

...and it's just been sitting there in a pile for a year now...sigh!
