I would appreciate any help I can get on this, it's been driving me crazy.
I got this Sega Power Drift a month ago it worked fine at first. and then one day when I turned it on it was just a slight glow on the monitor the marquee lit up, the lights on the pcb board lit up and the fan came on. but there was no picture or sound at all. oh and the start button didn't light up anymore. I tried to coin in up but still no sound or picture. I assumed it had something to do with a blown fuse or the power supply, so I replaced the fuses although the original ones tested fine, and replaced the power supply but there was no change at all. I checked the wiring and it all seems ok, What could the problem be?

I recently got A Heavy Barrel game that kind of did the same thing. I first got it the game would play for some time but there was a strange sound comming from the back. After taking off the back I found the power supply was making the noise. I started it to show a friend and it just kind of shut down. The light on the coin reject button and Top did not light as well as the monitor showed a small lighted area.
This problem was the +12 volt line on the power supply. Many of the sound amps/chips use the 12 volt line some use the +12 and others use -12.
As with just about anything check the power supply and measure the voltages. I have read somewhere (on here) that one of the supplies failed and a 10-11 volts was on the +5 volt line. One of the respected techs here said "I would consider that board unrepairable".
