Sega Outrun Upright

Looking for advice on the going rate for a Sega Outrun upright, complete, average condition, working...

Thanks!

Condition is all over the place on these. 250 - 350 for avg. 500 tops for a really nice one to.right buyer.

That's what I was thinking (hoping). There's one within driving distance to me, unfortunately the seller wants 3x the top end. Hard to negotiate to an agreeable number when its that's far apart.

Thanks!

Outrun is a game that doesn't get much money, sadly they're worth more parted out. I had a very nice one I sold for like $300. I've seen them go for $50-$450 tops, overall condition/location of course.

I've owned 4 of them (one being a deluxe and had to part out one). $250-350 for an UR fully working. Plan on replacing the plastic gears (around $70) and if you want to remove the foot mat then plan on extracting a few screws. Also go buy some epoxy and a little fiberglass mesh because the control panel around the shifter is going to be cracked...if not it eventually will so go ahead and reinforce it.

My thoughts: Outrun seems like one of the stranger games price-wise. Working PCBs seem to go for a lot, and it seems to cost a lot and take a lot of effort to restore with the dash/shifter and steering wheel gears. Complete working ones usually don't list for more $450 that I've seen outside of eBay. My Outrun after clean up with nice side art, near perfect dash, shifter, Lambo decal, and a new monitor was a deal I thought at $300. It's all going to depend on if a person wants the game or not. It's got solid, state of the art-for-the-day graphics and gameplay. The hills make the game. I think by itself the cabinet is also a nice piece of artwork. The cabinet is a surprising beast to move, however.
