Originally was planning to restore all the metal parts and perhaps a bit of work on the cab, which is really nice on the right hand side and a few smallish chunks missing on the left. All up it's in pretty decent shape for it's age just requires some work to get it back to it's former glory (which it deserves) It was turned on briefly when i bought this about 7 years ago and previously to that it had been in a storage facility where it had gone unpowered for about 20 years. It did seem to be mostly working apart from a couple of globes in the back which could have just been a contact issue (i didn't investigate at the time) and you could play the game, the scoring worked and so did the sound plus the controls also. I can't be positive about ALL the sound as i've not seen/heard a fully working model. I turned it on recently (a month ago) and the bike wasn't tracking properly from side to side although the motor that drives it was working, the rubber wheel appeared to be slipping on the back plate it pushed against The only thing missing is the pull out seat although i do have an original flier for this and the seat appears to be something that could be easily recreated. The wooden back panel that has all the relays and transformers on it is warped although it can still be locked. The older i get the more i realise i just don't have the time to do these kind of things anymore
Here's the tricky bit...
I'm about 4hrs drive from Melbourne and DON'T have the ability to get the machine to the city in person although i could get it transported no worries. International sale would rely on if you know someone in Melbourne (or could be Sydney also) who can fully organise international shipping, then my only concern is to get it to that person and i'm willing to go halves in the transport costs to that said person. I haven't exported a machine EVER so i have absolutely NO idea about the process. This machine has an Australian power plug so it would need to be changed and there may be other things that need altering also. I can't find any info inside the machine about whether it was a specifically delivered Australian machine or it had been converted some time in it's history. I'd really like to see this go to an EM collector who will spend the time getting it back to it's former glory, there can't be too many of these things left alive i would think. I only know personally of one other machine in Australia but of course there could be others i don't know about it. I've got it listed over here in Oz for $2500 AUD but i'm willing to negotiate the price somewhat as i realise the export costs will be "interesting".
I can shoot more pics of any area of the machine if required.
