Ok here's what I need to know. I have a chance to get my hands on a 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker game. But this things a beast so I was going to scrap it where it sits. Will
This naomi board play wwf royal rumble and regular joystick stuff? I am asking
This because some hyper neo 64 driving boards will only play driving games .
Yes this is sega not neo but will it work for what I want? Thanks for any help.

The short answer is it will only play games for the Naomi 1 system. There are 2 different motherboards, Naomi 1 and Naomi 2. You can play only Naomi 1 games on Naomi 1 motherboards. You can play Naomi 1 and 2 games on Naomi 2 motherboards. The Naomi 1 motherboard is white and the Naomi 2 motherboard is blue. I also recommend you go to www.sega-naomi.com for all the other info you need about GD-rom games and bios differences for different games.

It should work just fine for what I think you want to do. If you already have a naomi uni, but are lacking a motherboard, you could take it out of the 18 wheeler and put it in the uni. The only issue might be the bios, but you can buy a new/upgraded one on the cheap. It seems a rather hasslesome way to get a naomi motherboard seeing as they cost less than $75. If the 18 wheeler that you are getting is a naomi universal type cabinet, you will be VERY hard pressed to find a control panel to make it work with fighter controls. I have been looking for a couple years for one (without any luck). I'm thinking of just making one from scratch.

Edit: I'm not sure why I thought this was about universal cabs, but anyways, yeah, it should work still. The I/O board should be the one for sega cabs, so if you want jamma, you'll have to get a new I/O.
