This listing is for a custom built Compact Flash Adapter system. It can be used on Naomi 1 and 2 systems as a Compact Flash GD-ROM replacement drive kit.

360.00 shipped in US

It includes

...Net DIMM updated to 4.02 with Compact Flash security chip also has network board attached
...GD-ROM Cable
...Compact Flash Adapter Reader with any game of your choice

What you see in the picture is what you get. This kit will directly replace your GD-ROM drive or replace your cartridge type game. If you have a GD-ROM drive already setup then its an easy swap out to connect this replacement drive.
If you are installing this kit into a system that was previously a cartridge system (NOT GD_ROM wired, let me know, I will include a power cord as well since you will not have one)

This unit has ONLY been tested with a Naomi1 and Naomi2 system.
For a list of games goto my website at www.summittarcade.com under the sega tab.

PROS to this system:

Replaces dead or dying GD-ROM drives (will never fail since it has no moving parts or programmable chips to fry)
Load times are slightly faster (Nothing spectacular though so don't expect lighting fast loading, Naomi systems are the worst for loading times)
Easier and cheaper to find games on new CF system (I have most of the Naomi1 and Naomi2 games ready for this system, just ask for a specfic game you are looking for)
No changing Security Keys: You only swap the CF card when you want to change the game. (System must be powered down to change CF cards) Easy for kids to change game.
No need to have a PC or Laptop near your machine for netbooting.

CONS:

This stuff ain't cheap!

NOTE: NAOMI 1 users must have an updated BIOS eprom. Version D or E will not work with this system. I can sell you a Version G of any region (US,EUR,JPN) for 10.00 extra or you can send me your current BIOS chip and I will reprogram it.

Getting a NAOMI with a cab Friday, and I have to say that this is a seriously GREAT idea. Don't need one right now or anything, but free bump for a cool item.

I will contact you if I end up with a few games that could benefit from it.
