I've got a 25" Nanao monitor out of a Sega Rally that was working, then cap kitted, now blows the 1 amp fuse.

Does anyone have a source for schematics or a troubleshooting flowchart for one of these? I can't even find a model number or anything to help me.

Thanks,
John

Sincerely trying to help here:
1.) How did you cap kit this without knowing what model #? how do you even know it's a NANAO? Did you manually make a list of caps and order them that way?

2.) What was the original problem? I would say if it worked before hand and it doesn't now I'd highly suspect either a cap or diode in backwards or most likely a solder bridge.

I stock every value of cap so I just sit down and swap them out one at a time. I've done so many hundred that I'm pretty fast at it.

It actually had no problem at all to begin with. I just re-cap everything that comes through my shop. I'm thinking you're right about a solder bridge. I've looked it over thoroughly though and can't find it.

Truth be told, this one was done by a relatively new employee, so I'm thinking he did something wrong, and I could figure it out if I just had a stinking schematic.

Thanks for the help...

John

Is it a dual-res? It's most likely an MS8-26SU or similar. I have a schematic that should work, although it's not the greatest scan. PM your e-mail and I'll send it to you. I'll be out of town tomorrow, so it might be Sunday...
