Picked up this cab yesterday, it's the sega version of the Playchoice 10 and comes with 8 Genesis games. Got it pretty cheap and it's working but there are some problems with 4 of the buttons, i guess some new cherry micro switches will fix that. I also plan to install a new CPO.

Here's a look inside, as you can see the cab uses almost the same cartridges as the console. I'll try to hunt down games like Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe and Thunderforce II.

Feels awesome hearing the sonic music again and i love the quality of the screen.

Would a Genesis cart fit in there? That's hella cool, I really want one. I love me some Genesis games...

Woah, I just noticed Tetris in there. Isn't that a ridiculously rare Saturn game?

No, unfortunately the Genesis cartridges aren't compatible with the system. These cabs a very common and cheap over here (The Netherlands).
Lot's of other great games are available, here's a full list: http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Sega_Mega-Tech

Don't know if this is the same version of Tetris but it's nice, my girlfriend already likes it a lot:

Made up a little list of titles that i'll try to hunt down:

Altered Beast, California Games, Golden Axe I or II, Moonwalker, Sonic Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage, Spiderman, Super Thunder Blade, Thunder Force 2, Shinobi, Super Hang On, Forgotten Worlds, Kid Chameleon, Shadow Dancer, Arrow Flash.

This is really cool, I had never heard of this. You Dutch must love Sega almost as much as soccer if these are so common.

Hahaha, guess that's true...

Here are some more pictures, I love that big bulky coin box and it was nice to find some of our beloved former Currency. I'll take a Gulden over an Euro everyday..

Very awesome, I wonder if any made it stateside back in the day.

That thing is SUPER COOL! Would look great mixed in with a few duramolds.. Would love to find something like that here in the States...

That is really cool :) And I also agree, I much prefer the old Dutch currency to the euro. Something very satisfying by being able to buy a beer for one single coin :D

I never knew such a thing existed for the Sega and it is neat they basically made them cartridges. I wonder just how much it would take to modify an existing cartridge to play on the system.

There were a few converters made in the UK, so that you play genesis games. Seems that they are now pretty sought after and expensive.

That just doubled the cool factor for me.

How cheap are they in the Netherlands? Anyone up for a group buy lol?

These things are great. I foolishly sold mine years ago. There was one on eBay a while ago for a decent price. I would have pulled the trigger but it didn't have Gunstar Heroes.

Very awesome!! I've always wanted one of these, so sad there are none here in the US. I'm probably never going to own one but i've been brewing this Genesis switcher project in my head that would retrofit into a neo-geo cab to give the same experience.
