A seller posted qty 3 available of new cabinets he makes with "Moonwalker kits".

$6500.

According to my eBay software (though you can't see it looking at the page), there is one bid on the item already, which means someone did a buy-it-now for $6500...

oh dear, I think this thread is going to start getting some attention...

the sad thing is, I always thought it was a badass platform game, and wanted to eventually buy it. But, after his death I'm sure people will hord them or "whore" them. :(

Yup. I bet Dale's a happy camper! :D

The prices didn't get as nuts as I thought they would.... 5 years ago a MoonWalker Dedicated was fetching $1000-$1500. Last couple of years it was $500-$1000. Then he dies and they are still only back around $1000-$1500. Still hasn't reached Journey prices so the game is still well within reach of anyone who WANTS to own one. I know someone who has a True Home Use Only one but they absolutely won't budge on their price for now. Hopefully I can pursuade them eventually as I'd like to upgrade.

But from the pic in the eBay ad, the game is in mint condition - like it just came out of the box. And he's got two of them!

Might have gotten an even better price if he didn't take it out of the box just to take a picture of it. He could have just used the pic from the KLOV entry for it instead...

Those aren't new machines, they are restored cabs with new monitors and controls. They look great, but not NIB dedicated cabs.

I thought you sold yours?

I was shocked someone got one. You never know these days

congrats on the sale, but I would be a little woried that if the game your putting together does not look like the file pic you posted, you might have a problem when it gets delivered. Something about bait and switch comes to mind.. I would have built one and taken an actual pic..

There is no bait and switch we send a picture of the game before it ships so there are no problems.

That's what we need, we need Icons, things to love/hate, you LOVE it and really want one or you HATE it and just dont understand what all the fuzz is about and wouldn't even want it for free.

Example: Damn I would want a Moonwalker but these are 3x times my monthly pay, if I could flip this and that or win a small amount in the lottery I would get me one YEAH!!!.
It's good to not have everything or be able to just buy everything.......
The unreachable is magical!!!
