I have one problem on my current twin setup and one on the cpu board that I just bought.

First, one of the cab, I don't get the music on the back speakers. But I do get the sound when it's in attract mode and when you pick a car and track. But no music during game play.

Second, I just purchased a cpu board in the metal case. The game works and you see the cars but the track and background is all messed up? any ideas?

The sound issue sounds like a flaky DSB1. I would try swapping the sound board from the other side to check it out. That's the great thing about having a twin. It's easy to troubleshoot by swapping parts -as long as you have one completely working side.

The new boardset might have a bad video board. Of course, it could just be a power issue. Model 3 bords are pretty fussy about having the proper voltages, and too low or high can cause graphical glitches. Again, I would install the boardset in the side that is working well and see if the graphical issues remain. If they go away, you just need to adjust or replace your power supply.

If they remain, you've got a board issue. Best bet at that point would be to find another board stack to put your rom board on (Lost World boards go cheap), or send it to Ken at irepairsega.com. He's the best, and he'll have it up in no time.

thanks

Swapping board would've been my next step. Getting to them is such a pain because I had t2 in the way of the seats. I'll let you know how it goes.
