Sega Model 2 to Model 3 conversion - force feedback?

In a string of seemly unanswerable questions I have a habit of posting I present another challenging query:

Sadly I've run out of space and I need to part out one of my twin drivers. I narrowed it down to either Sega Super GT (model 3) or Daytona USA (model 2). I decided the Daytona would be choice to part out since I can create a conversion harness to run it on the model 3 cabinet but not the other way around.

Power/video/sound is not a problem, very straight forward with a simple harness to plug directly to the model 3 setup. However, the big one I would like to keep is the force feedback. I don't actually have the Super GT here with me to check the board set to see if it uses the same midi driver or not? Will the newer force feedback motor unit on the steering wheel for Sega GT be compatible if I have to wire up the Daytona midi board? Has anyone tackled this project before to point out any gotchas?

If not ill post my findings when it happens soon. Thanks!
