Has anyone ever rebuilt a Sega EM oscillator (sound) board that uses the old 2SC458 transistors? I've replaced them with modern transistors when fixing old audio equipment, but I wasn't sure if an oscillator circuit would be more picky or not.
I also recall reading somewhere about the voltage to the amplifier being a bit too high in these games, but I can't remember where I saw that info.
