So I put this hang on cab back together recently, and I put a wg k4600 in instead of the sega 20 type monitor. The first time I powered everything up, I got what you see I'm the first picture. Then after cycling the power once or twice, you get the picture in the second picture. Any ideas what would cause this? The monitor was just capped, and it was working great in my pacman. I'm kind of new to monitors, but would it being setup for a vertical game have caused this? And if so, how do I fix it? Thanks guys!

Does this happen every time you power the game up for the first time? (i.e. this happens when you turn it on after it's been off for several hours)

Looks like an issue with the 50-60 hertz pot, but I don't think that the K4600 has one. You sure it isn't a K7000?

BTW, the problem is with the monitor not the game.

You should post the photos in the monitor repair section. You will get more help there.

Don't stock Hang-on Iso transformers put out 100V for the Nanao monitor? If so, I'd either replace the transformer or rebuild the nanao and put it back.

Sorry guys, the reason I posted this here as opposed to the monitor section, was because I didn't know if this was a board issue or not. It is indeed getting 106.7 VAC, but when I tried 120, the picture was still as bad, and when I cycled the power, the warping wasn't just on top, it was halfway through the monitor. Putting it back to the 106V makes it do the same thing it was originally doing.

So sorry guys. I wasted your time. I just needed to adjust the h hold pot. It's better now! But I still have an issue with my sound! It doesn't seem right...and freezes once you start getting going in the race.
