I've been thinking about getting this game since that one popped up on here for sale in Cali. Many good memories of plaing this at my local Ben Franklin store!

What's my best strategy? It seems like it was in your standard Frogger cab. Frankenstein one together w/ parts, or save up the cash and try to find a complete one? Both have their flaws. Finding parts can be a real pain in the a$$, and finding one complete is no better. The one in Cali was the first one I've seen for sale in a loooooong time!

Any input would be appreciated, as well as, parts or complete game!:D

Finding parts might be a tough one...

If that game is complete, and the artwork is all there, i would just bite the bullet and have it shipped. I wanted to find a 005 (sega/gremlin) for the longest time. No one had parts and the cabinet was the easiest thing to find. I think like most...if its an uncommon game and complete, GET IT! Don't wait around because you'll never know how much longer you'll have to wait until another comes around. Even then, you won't know how complete it might be.

Go for it... that's half the fun.

AG, I think you're right... I saw Pulsar "maybe" twice in the arcades. It seems like it wasn't a hit. I'm just wondering how many were scrapped for Froggers?

I think the one up on here sold.. pretty sure the same one was also on CL in the bay area for a while..

At least one. My frogger started life as a pulsar. When I got it it had already been converted to a crazy kong, and then had the boards removed. I found the pulsar tag in the bottom when rewiring it to be a frogger.

You are in luck...I have a complete working Pulsar Kit sitting downstairs in my basement. It will plug into any frogger. This is what I have:

Marquee
Control Panel
Bezel
All Boards
Wiring
Serial Number Sticker

I think there is other stuff too...Basically I had a guy completely strip a working game and send me the parts, the cab was trashed. Then I found a complete game.....

Let me know if you want it.

Shit. If I'd known that I would have been seeking a Pulsar kit for my Frogger ages ago. Frogger is cool and all but they're pretty common. Pulsar is way cooler for a home game room. :) Congrats to Schusler for scoring a relatively rare kit so easily!

Got any pictures of the board and/or wiring?

I enjoy the game and have a Pulsar board, but it's not the sort of thing that would plug into a Frogger without building half a wiring harness as an adaptor. (Which is what I did to get it running in my JAMMA test rig.)
