sega Eliminator cocktail worth

That one will be worth some money, really hard to say just how much tho.. not much of a history to refer to. Zf has it right, it'll be worth what someone's willing to pay.

Pics? I'm just curious but if someone is knowledgeable enough about these that will help with giving you a estimate.

Do you have the marquees for it? The game came with a 4 post topper with a marquee for each player over his/her head. That is the part that is ALWAYS missing from this game. In good working condition with that still intact you have a real collectors piece. Non working in avg condition without the topper the value goes down quickly but at the same time you will not see them even in that condition often. so...

Jeff, waiting to hear your price, let me know

The poor folk among us would also like to lust and covet after some pics, when/if you feel like posting a couple.

/kthxbye

Send it to ebay-

It'll be worth the fee to watch and open up the audience a little.

I don't know why that 'worth what someone's willing to pay' comment irks me. It's like a definition or something:

worth: what someone is willing to pay

I'm just bitchy and spreading the wealth.

a 2 player very nice upright is only worth maybe $600-800 if your lucky these days.
not a great game/ play wise

but the 4 player adds rarity of course. but there are a few of these out there still, more then some ppl think.

i would say $4k to a collector, ebay may not be so kind. That's pretty good for game that's really not much fun to play.

believe it or not, i've seen these sell for $500 right before pre-internet became popular bout 12 yrs ago.

none the less a cool piece, thanks for showing it

You should have stopped by Jeff since you were in my neighborhood-- just across the Mississippi river-- Shame on you!

It's just about the best 4 player game you can play. I brought my to California Extreme a few years ago, and the thing was played almost the entire duration of the show. I don't know if I ever saw it without people playing it. They was lots of betting going on.

There is also another one at the Google office in Mt. View. It also had so much play, that the employees playing it were getting carpal tunnel from the crappy angle of the control panels.

I have only seen two for sale ever. One sold for $1500 about 10 years ago to the guy who works at Google. I bought the other one for $1000 in non working condition. That was about 10 years ago also.

The two player cocktail and the two player upright are much more common, and less fun.

But for 4-player action, there is almost nothing that beats this (maybe Tank 8, Sprint 8 or Sprint 4).

I know Gaymond Lee had one circa 1999/2000. He bought it back from a collector who purchased a large number of games from him originally. Not sure where it went but I don't recall his having the canopy either.

Not sure what Gaymond sold it for originally....may have been around $1500-$2000.

I think regarding "how much", ZF nailed it.

That's one of the machines I mentioned. I have never seen a canopy, except in the ad.

Dan M. in Cal got one with a canopy last year. He's got pictures posted somewhere (then again, he may have sent me them direct). First and only one with the canopy I ever heard of.

+10000

When people talk about the best vector games, no one mentions this game because 1) not many people have played it because how hard it is to find a machine to play and 2) because they've played the 2-player upright/cocktail, which are far less fun. But a few hours of playing this game with 3 other people and you'll see why this is one of the most desirable vector machines around.
