You hear the words 'rare' and 'grail' thrown around allot on these forums. I do not care for those terms that much but this machine definitely qualifies as uncommon in my experience over the years.

I have seen a few show up for sale over the years but can not remember if I have ever seen one working. Most times they have been a pile of parts or an incomplete machine that is advertised then sold off almost secretly to some collector and never heard about again.

This one is working great and a blast to play. The 4 player model has a few unique features that the other upright and cocktail models do not. The first being of course it is 4 players at once. It does not have start buttons instead the specific color player is started by the coin drop on his/her side of the machine. Once you drop the coin it utilizes a solenoid lockout system to prevent any further coins from being inserted and starts a 10 second count down for other players to join in. The game Roms are different for this version of Eliminator because of this. The machine also has a unique 4 player interface control PCB that is not found in the other models to help control all of these processes.

As far as I can tell this game is all original with original parts matching numbers (#0344000) etc. Of course I have performed all the preventative
maintenance on it in order for it to be working at this time(caps, etc).

"Rare" and "grail" for sure. Both apply without question. Awesome machine!

Such a strange design with the 4 identical control panels. I almost wonder if they are identical panels to something that may have been used on an upright (perhaps with different button holes). Looks like they could be.

Fantastic cab PeRFiDiouS : thanks for sharing your pictures.
A four players color vector cab is a grail for sure and Eliminator, a game to know.

Here are a couple of shots of the start screens.

The game is not really a cocktail more like the tabletop version of Track n Field or Atari Football size cabinet. They did make a 2 player cocktail version of this game that is basically the same as the upright convert a cab version. In the pictures mine is sitting on a 4 wheel furniture dolly to make it easier to move around the shop. The plate under the red control panel is the the old tax sticker from 1982. Like many Sega vectors I have found it appears this game was operated on location for a short time then most likely broke and spent 20+ years in a warehouse. It still has wear and tear with cracks at the CPO bend and what looks like a soda spill of some kind that was cleaned up. Still a great condition working piece.

Perfidious,Would you ever consider posting a video of this in action? I have never seen nor heard of this one. Also, whats the story on it IE:How you came across it or what it took to get it. Every game find has a story and I'm sure others here would love to know how it was obtained.

Says the man with an original and 2 repros he just built in his basement....

And who has used the name 'elimn8tr' on IRC for over 10 years... :)

To those who asked I will make a video of this game in action in the next week or two. I do not know any history of this machine other than what I theorized on earlier in the thread. I purchased it as/is about 3 years ago from an old operators warehouse that had been locked up for about 15+ years. He had quite a few things in there but when I saw this and figured out what it was I really had to contain myself. I was thrown off by its large size at first so it took me a minute to figure out what I had found. Once I did I instantly made a deal for it.

Darn, I was hoping it was the infamous "Box Decal" the manual mentions, but I've never seen.

Every CPO I've seen for those has cracked overlays, especially at the 90 degree bend at the bottom, so those are actually in pretty nice condition.
