This is my haul tonight, I had found this cab on Ebay for $25 and I had to have it cause my Defender-MW project has gone no where cause the cab work is too extensive to get into and it also needs a new monitor. I just moved my defender project out of my garage and into a garden shed... meh...

I barely got it home but it was JAMMA'd and they converted it to Sega Columns.
It's completely dead although I heard the monitor hum on power up. I have not started trying to trouble shoot it other than checking the main fuse and the Columns PCB.

The nice thing is that it was nicely wired up with a JAMMA harness and switcher. My goal is to put a PA multi-williams overlay on the CP and then drop in a JROK it's basically ready to go, once I get it actually working.

The monitor was a WG K4900. Is that original? Looks like it is or a very nice transplant. Whoever converted this back in the day did a bang up job. They even had acrylic drilled and folded to match the williams CP shape. Those microswitch Wicos are still in great shape also.

AS sells a glass bezel for it as well as the Marquee. Any word on their quality?
Sadly I just missed out on the sets of glass sold her on KLOV and those MW bezels....

Great score especially with it being Jammatized! I almost bid on that one but, I have to many projects. Did you also win the Jeopardy game he sold?

nope but I made friends with him and he offered me some other NICE finds.
oddly we have some mutual friends that work in his industry.

He needs to sell a Tron off and I'm supposed to help him.

Things that I'm looking of his:

Ms. Pac-man
Tempest
Dual monitor Playchoice 10

Not sure about the quality of that item specifically, but for what it's worth everything that I have bought from AS so far has been better than expected.

I saw that one also. Going to do anything with the sides? I had a cabinet like that with thick red paint on the sides. It was nasty. I also had a Columns at one time. I miss that game, it was quite addicting. Good luck.

I'm going to sell of the Columns parts (3 pieces) as a kit for cheap. Once I get it working I'll take the CP apart and try get the monitor all fixed up 100%. I just got a rejuv also.

I'll patch and paint the body (although I already have a bunch of patch and paint projects)
The least I'll do is the Robotron Silver sides and prep it for Stencils. Who knows how long it'll take for me to get around to stencils for this project. I think the original stenciled art is under the red but I it's flaked on some sections so probably needs to be sanded all down sealed and patched to get it strong.

The sticks in there are switched wicos but have these big black ball tops so it's odd to me. The great thing is that the dust washers are still in good condition. They did take pretty good care of these machines. They also moved around the P1 P2 buttons but the original holes are still there. I'll still need to patch and move button holes around to match with the Phoenix Arcade MW overlay.

The top marquee bar is also not original. They left it brass cause they thought it matched the sega marquee and bezel they made for it.

I have pics of his Ms. Pac-Man. It doesn't work and has the original monitor. it's your typical Mrs Pacman faded shape but the glass bezel is in good condition although. I have pics of it. It may go to Eeyso but I'll let you know if he passes on it.

ooops.... having worked at Namco I should know better.... DOH!

I'm so happy cause it turned out to only be a dead switcher PS. I put in a cheap china one and started checking out the monitor. It needs a Cap Kit and some help via my newly aquired BK 467 Rejuv.

Sadly the CP is wired weird for Columns. I already have the JROK board in there and it does work... I have to map out how they have laid out the controls now.
