So I have a Sega CDX with a 32X in it's carry case ready to plop on top when ever this bad boy needs to be taken on the road.

So I was looking on Ebay and I thought, maybe I should sell the whole bundle so that I can turn it into a Wii U bundle getting ready for Monster Hunter 3 and Pikmin 3...

I was already liquidating a bunch of other stuff so coming up with cash isn't a big issue but man after firing up a few Sega Games on it for testing... while dropping a nice little Trinitron 13" TV into my WFH (work from home) office... I want to keep it now. I'm reorganizing a book case so that I can throw a bunch of 8-32bit systems together on a switcher for this setup.

I need to make room for all 3 of the Nintendo machine that run off the SNES video connector. THe N64 will look nice here...

Question: what sort of hubs/switches/whatever are there, that'd allow 4-5 (or more) systems to hook up to the TV. Right now, I have an NES, N64, Intellevision, and a couple others "daisy chained" to the coax input, but after the second or third system it doesn't seem to work. I don't want to dig thru the back of the set, wade thru the jungle of wires and unplug this/plug in that to alternate between systems.

I'd like to get something roomy like an upright stereo cabinet with shelves, where I could put one or two systems on a shelf, and maybe hit a switch to activate that console's connection to the tv...

Some systems use RCA audio/video cables instead of the RF modulator, but even those I am limited as to the number I can have connected (although powered off) concurrently.

I use to have a A/V switcher that had about 8 inputs and 1 output. Also had a wireless remote.

I have now simplified it by just using an A/V receiver. All units go to it and the receiver up converts everything to HDMI to my TV.

I think that the bigger problems are the number of AC adaptors. I have a pair of those Sega ones that were spaced apart for the wall warts to all fit on there.

I had the Genesis and 32X adapter. Always wanted the Sega CD.

I made a post a while back about the 32X & the Genesis running on 1 AC adapter. People still wonder how that was possible :D

although it needs 2 AC adaptors. Having a CDX/32X combo cleans up stuff quite nicely. There's just one pass through video cable from the 32x to the CDX and the Video out from the 32X to your TV.

I was stating that I made the Genesis and 32X both work with 1 AC adapter.
I received the 32X adapter by itself with 2 games super cheap from a buddy. Not able to obtain the cable that goes from the 32X to Genesis, I decided to rig it.
I used old individual pieces of CAT5 wire and plugged one end into each hole (+ ground or shield) on the 32X then to the Genesis (occupying ALL holes).
Then I plugged the 1 AC adapter (Genesis) into either the Genesis or I'm thinking the 32X.

Both were powered from the original Genesis AC Adapter. I'm thinking the original cable that goes from 32X to Genesis doesn't have all the pins, but I've never seen one. My rig job must've carried power.

I just picked up a Sega Genesis (model 2) with CD at a thrift shop. Also came with some games, including Contra Hard Corps CIB.

I ditched all my Genesis stuff a few years back, other than one of each iteration of console and Castlevania.

Now I have two nice Genesis games that I'm planning to keep.

Nah just need some Power Liberators.

They have a bunch of different types. I usually have a few of these suckers for my day job(it consultant). Never know when you will have an inkjet printer or speaker set that blocks 1 or 2 extra plugs on a power strip.

You shouldn't even have considered putting the CDX on ebay. It's too nice of a system to give up, especially if you like playing Genesis games like Gunstar Heroes, Contra Hardcorps, Snatcher, Lightning Force, and others. You should get the Mega Everdrive cart to get more use out of your CDX and play all the Genesis roms. It also lets you use the BIOS from Japanese and PAL Mega CD so you can play import MEGA CD games on the CDX. It also plays Master System games, 32X, and WAV files, not to mention letting you save anywhere in any game so you can pick up where you left off at a later time.

I brought my CDX to my parents house last weekend because my younger brother and nephew were visiting. My nephew had never seen a CDX before and was surprised at the compact size. He had a blast playing Rock n' Roll Racing and Super Tecmo Bowl!

If you ever want to sell that CDX, please keep me in mind. I have been looking for one for a while.

That's a keeper setup right there. I'm doing it the old fashioned way and creating the Voltron of Sega consoles (Mark from Classic Game Room): Genesis Model 1, Model 2 CD, and 32X!

It's like having an awesome looking mech on your desk and you can play video games on it.

Game Genie only exists cause kids can't learn to play games. I never bought any myself... I have Knuckles/sonic as well as a regular Sonic to slap on there. I used to have a PBConverter but sold them.
