You ENJOYED Jurassic Park and Sewer Shark? ;) Are there any games you don't like?

If you like JP - you'll like Sherlock Holmes, that's a slow point and click type game.

Sonic CD is arguably the most fun game for the system, and probably my favorite Sonic game. You have to have this if you don't have it already.

Silpheed/Sega Classics combo set that came with Gen 1 are rad - You would probably enjoy Ground Zero Texas

I love Night Trap as well.

SNATCHER!
Both Lunar: SS, Lunar: Eternal Blue
Eternal Champions Challenge from the Dark Side (for the opening cinematic alone)
Dark Wizard
Vay
Popful Mail
Silpheed
Sonic CD
Final Fight
Soul Star
Tomcat Alley
Earthworm Jim Special Edition
Android Assault
Batman Returns (for the driving stages, very smooth)
Heart of the Alien
Road Rash CD (great soundtrack which plays in game in this version)
Shining Force CD
Panic! (very strange)
Terminator

Sonic, Snatcher, Lunar, Spider-man, Dragons Lair, Shining Force. All I can think of off the top of my head.

You should try Dracula Unleashed and Loadstar: The Legend of Tully Bodine since you like those full-motion games.

Robo Aleste and Lords of Thunder are some fun shooters.

Mickey Mania is cool for SEGA CD. Dungeon Explorer is a good 4-player game like Gauntlet.

Cobra Command, Time Gal, Revenge of the Ninja, and Road Avenger are good. They are Dragon's Lair-type games.

All of the Working Designs games on Sega CD are spectacular (all have already been mentioned). Granted, they only localized them, but that's because they knew what was good that no other company would bring to the States.

The collection isn't terribly big. Go get them all!

Sega CD's and games are pretty cheap, why not pick up the real thing? I thought that's what this web site was about...

I too am a believer of buying the real thing, but some of the more popular games can run up pretty high. Especially if you want complete in box.

This is pretty much the definitive list of must-own Sega CD games. Also, if you're a fan of point and click adventures, as you seem to be, you should definitely pick up Rise of the Dragon. Like Snatcher it's an excellent point and click adventure in a cyberpunk setting. It has excellent atmosphere and a cool story. Be sure to check it out.

Sega CDs are fairly cheap, but finding a working one at a decent price is challenging. The lasers are wearing out and suitable replacements are getting harder to find. If anyone knows where there is a warehouse full of them, let me know, we'll split the profits.

Another thing worth noting is the internal save batteries are becoming especially difficult to find in working order. I strongly recommend anyone who buys a system to make it a point to pick up a RAM cartridge as well. You'll need it.

not sure if anyone posted this game.....

LORDS OF THUNDER - classic shooter with a kick ass metal soundtrack. great on the turboduo too!

My favorite on Sega CD is Sonic CD. Great music, I have the soundtrack sealed from back when I pre-ordered the game at Toysrus BITD.

My second Favorite is Ecco the Dolphin. The game is the same as the cartridge version but with one difference; the music. I love the soundtrack to that game and listen to it regularly.

Don't forget, you can play Japanese MEGA CD games like Ninja Warriors on your SEGA CD if you know how to make an iso and patch the region code.

Or you can use something like the Megacart or Everdrive to play imports MEGA CDs on your US system.
