Ok, I just one this item at ebay for $200 but the guy in which I spoke to him said that the machine is MID REZ and wont be able to play neo geo or cave games on it since their are certain standard and medium monitors and since this is medium it wont support alot of games. Is he correct? He is offering another machine for that supposely good support those kind of games. Should I still go ahead with this? I have a new astro city which is a newer model then this one with same monitor i believe and i can play my 48 in 1 board in it and it looks fantastic!

So overall what do I need in order for me to play something on it? Im sorry for all the stupid questions but this will be my first arcade machine. Also did I over pay?

Thanks for the help.

It's a great deal go pick it up. Mine has the same monitor, it's just a jumper on the chassis to switch resolutions.

Thanks for the info. The guy said I can bring in a game to test now I need to find a game cheap in the chicagoland area. :)

a: that's a great price.
b: astro cities tend to have a switchable std/med res monitor. if it has that type of monitor, you'll need to change where a cable plugs into on the chassis to go from med to std.

That thing is sweet for that money. You're lucky I didn't see that or you would have been trying to outbid me... and I would have gone waaay over $200 ;-)

From what I can see that was a killer deal. I paid much more than that for mine. Congrats!

Ok, I finally got a game it and its wrestlefest. I was able to adjust it to be sd resolution but I screen is too bright. Is their a brightness button or switch on the sega astro city? I tried adjusting the switches where the controller wires are at but nothing. Any info would be grateful. Thanks.
