I'm not sure if this was posted already, but kind of cool. Same maker of the wireless controller version. $20 more.

For the life of me, I can't find a game list for this thing. I guess I'll have to check it out the next time I'm at Walmart. Not sure if they link either. It doesn't look like it unfortunately.

Thanks.

Now it's confirmed that this is an epic fail. No SFII on the list. Lame.

Probably couldn't use Capcom titles. I see no Ghouls 'n Ghosts either.

For about $100 you could have an original Xbox with around 700 plus Genesis ROMs, Nes, Snes, Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, 400/800 ROMs, and MAME emulators on its 120 gig hard drive. Not to mention it plays Xbox games too. :)

assuming that it uses the same board as the wireless one, it can run SS2 because the emulator pulls ROMS from the SD card.

^^^ Yes. This.

FBAXXX is an awesome supplemental emulator to MAME that allows damn-near perfect CPS1, CPS2 and Neo Geo emulation. MAME is memory limited (XBOX only has 64 MB or something of internal RAM), FBAXXX has some crazy way to work around this. You can also choose to upgrade the XBOX to 128 MB to get around this. It involves surface mount soldering, I hear that Channelmaniac might be able to help.

This is one of the best mods I've ever done to any system I've owned. And it can be done for damn-near free. You don't even need a Mod Chip... if you have a friend with an already modded XBOX system who can create you a corrupted save-game for a handful of really cheap games that are available.

Yeah, I posted it because I thought it was cool not necessarily because I wanted it. Prairied is right. I forgot it uses an SD card that pretty much reads ROMs. So no longer an epic fail. LOL.

I get my emulation fix through my PSP Go as well as Hyperspin MAME. :)

I have an old PSP that was 1.5, and I've never upgraded outside of hacked firmwares for it. But the emulators for it SUCKED last time I messed with it... are they any better now?

I had also picked up one of those GP2X-F200 open source guys. Never spent enough time messing with it to figure out if I liked it. The first few emulators I tried on it were really sorry excuses.

The MVS/CPS1/CPS2 emulation is especially spot on.

Now you're speaking my language. Guess I gotta dig that puppy back out and put it through it's paces this weekend. I think last I messed with it, I had upgraded to CFW 5.50 so I could play some newer disc-based game. Do you happen to know if that's the current hotn3ss in FW's, or if there is something newer/better I should look for? I see 5.50GEN-D3 is out. I don't think that's the one I have.

5.50GEN-D3 is considered the most stable current CFW version. That's what I put on my brother's PSP Phat, ENDOFLINE's PSP Phat and VectorInvadr's PSP Slim. Works like a charm.

I'm actually on OFW 6.37 on the PSP Go but I'm able to run emulators through a loader as I explain in my thread.

This thing was mentioned in the same thing with the wireless controller one, as well as a handheld version.

I've seen this thing at Fry's as well but there's no way it's worth the asking price.

I have a GP2X (not the touchscreen one) and was never too impressed with the emulators in comparison to PSP. I used it mostly to watch downloaded videos on my TV, but I have other better ways of doing that now so it doesn't get much use at all. Kind of sucks because that whole system is intended to be open doe homebrew devs and I guess the community is just too small.

Yup, agreed. I even bought the Dev Kit with the docking station and other various accessories. I was part of the pre-order that got free cases and stuff. I was really let down by this system.

I was excited about the Open Pandora, but missed BOTH ordering cycles for it (even though I was supposedly on the mailing list). Then I had a chance to get one and didn't have the cash. I see they are offering a Buy Now option on the site now, but they want $500.

I doubt that thing is worth it. It seems neat, but I don't want to be let down again.
