I am now working on a Sega After Burner. It does absolutely nothing. I have good 5v at the PCB and at the coin switches. Monitor glows, but I just get a squiggle line on the top monitor, no color. I have removed the monitor from the game and get good color and picture from my test pattern generator. Someone has obviously been in the game before. I wanted to reseat all of the connectors, but someone has cut the connector off of the 5v power/GND leads and soldered them directly to the pins. The manual does not have a part # for the connector. Can anyone identify the needed connector? I m sure that mouser.com or someone sells it. I want to redo them all as I don't like the looks of any of them. Thanks in advance.

Brown generic connectors will work fine on these. Otherwise email me and I can find some of the original white JST and get them to you. We actually used some of those generic brown ones on some games. Desert Tank comes to mind as well as one version of Virtua Cop 2. Sometimes our production department would get in a hurry to release something and did not want to wait for the JST parts from SOJ.
