Sega 20" monitor 200-0039.. Needs a flyback. But from where?

I scooped up a Frogger cocktail table yesterday. I've been trying to get it going and since I hear the game playing fine, I'm super excited to get this monitor going as well.

--Now, I have NOT capped it... maybe I should do that first, but,

When I turned the game on I could see a faint thin line in the middle of the screen, getting brighter and a loud high pitched sound. Then, smoke. Uh oh.

After looking it all over, I can't find anything that would have been smoking so bad, no caps look swollen, or anything.

Now when I turn it on, I can hear it hissing slightly but no real high voltage.

So, I'm assuming it's the flyback. Where can I get one? Not much information on this particular monitor.
Thanks ahead of time!

Did you check the the real bob roberts.com?

If the monitor is a Nanayo(SP?) you should just swap in a G07. But bear in mind a swap means adjusting the voltage output of the PS to support the G07.

I don't think this would physically work. The Sega Nanao monitor has a CR-25 neck pinout......the Electrohome G07 is a CR-23.

Exactly..just swap the whole monitor. I had a Frogger UR with one of those Nanao monitors and I did a whole cap kit on it only to find out that the real issue was the flyback. I even sent the original flyback to a company to reverse engineer to get the correct windings..but the replacement they came up with still did not work.

Here's the repair guide I wrote for that Nanao/Sega MC-2000-S monitor:

Could be you may just need to cap it. However, if the flyback is bad, good luck trying to find one. I was never able to locate one.

If you can't locate a flyback, I'm guessing it's not available!

however, on the bottom of this board there was a resistor that is burnt to a crisp, just leaving the legs there. This may have been the burning smell/smoke source. this was mounted on the bottom of the chassis, so I'm assuming someone rigged something along the way.. I didn't see a resistor listed for the bottom underside of the board.

I think he meant swapping out a complete monitor.

Ooops! Sorry, I guess I over thank/thunk that one.:)
