Folks,

The arcade where I work has a Stern KISS LE pinball machine that has been having issues with the Up-Post Vuk Assembly (http://mirror2.ipdb.org/files/6265/...ervice_and_Operation_Manual_no_schematics.pdf)

We're trying to track down a replacement plunger, since the one in our machine has far too much play in it - the pin joining the two parts of the plunger keeps popping out slightly and catching on the sleeve, which is preventing the ball from being launched back up through Gene's mouth - but we are having trouble locating one.

The part number from the manual (linked above) is 515-9835-00 - PLUNGER ASSEMBLY, UP-POST VUK, STAR.

If anyone knows where we can find one, please PM me the details.

Thanks!

This was handled by cutting down a slightly longer plunger that we had from another game and it now works perfectly. The ball FLIES out of Gene's mouth now rather than getting jammed or at best a weak dribble.

Great! In the future, you could probably just call Stern... the game (especially LEs) is a year old if that.

Agreed, I wasn't involved in talking to Stern - so I don't know if that was done at all, or what was said...nor was I actually involved in the fix that was done.

All I know is that we wanted to game back up and this was the deemed the most expedient way to get that done - an ingenious fix. Reminiscent of some methods I've use in the past in other situations where a "normal" fix wasn't feasible at the time.

Stern only gives a 30 day warranty on there new pinballs, I can't remember if it's 6 months or a year on the display. Chas may have been able to get you the part. But poor design and cheap parts is probibly the cause, you were better off coming up with something on your own.
