Seeking Direct or Indirect Monitor Repair Help

Were these three caps, that had no silk screened +/- on the pcb, nonpolar caps? Did they have "NP" on them for non polar? If so, they charge both ways in circuit, there is no + or -.

Did you replace the NP caps with polar (+/-) caps? If so, thats a problem. You can replace polar caps with bipolar caps (in a pinch), but not bipolar caps with polar caps.

That is what I thought originally (that they were bi-polar), but when I checked out the trash can I threw the old caps in... none were bi-polar.

Looking at the list of caps I found here that I do believe Mod made... i see no bi-polar...

There was one BP if I remember correctly.

But I've found polarized caps in non-polar spots before (like on a U2000 I did recently). I just stick another polarized in there and find the ground trace...

Yeah... there is one BP... C405. The caps in question are 1uf 50v...I just checked your list.

The fact that an image came up (albeit with issues) originally... then after a few seconds collapsed to a line... that tells me that something died "broke"...

No smoke... no smell... no nuthin. I wish a freakin cap burst or a resister burned or something damnit.

Well, I just cross referenced the replacement parts list on the D9200 schematics with the info WG/Mod provided and I can find all the parts except R464... it is not listed on the schematic's part list...

...anyone know what R464 is supposed to be by chance?

Also...I am having problems finding the right parts. For example, on mouser.com if I put in 2N7000 which is one of the parts I need and I get like 20 different transistors...with different values. How do I know which one to buy?

According to the schematic, it should be a 2.2k-ohm resistor. You'll have to look at it on the board to check the wattage. If in doubt, go bigger.

Or you could always convert to the NTE number and get it that way...
