I should know better.

A local firm reached out to me about their juke box. It's a Seeburg M100C, built in around 1952. It's been modified - the original tube amp has been removed and replaced with a Radio Shack MPA-45 monaural PA system.

Initially, it wouldn't do anything except accept coins. I finally found the switches under the Select-o-matic 100, and got it to play records.

The cartridge was skewed oddly. The glue bond between the cartridge and the extension was broken, and the cartridge was re-installed backwards. I fixed that, and the cartridge is back in service.

I turned the unit on, dropped a quarter and noted what songs I requested. (A total of 3)

5 played. Only a few matched.

Then it ran out of songs, so I dropped another quarter and selected 3 more.

Nothing. No response.

I've tried to reach Ken Layton by Ouiji board - I keep getting "try again later"

Anyone have suggestions on where to start? The Jones plugs seem dirty. I was going to start there.
