First jukebox after all these years, and it's a somewhat rare Seeburg DaVinci 100-79M aka SMC Jr.
Problem: Won't play B-sides, plays main side perfectly.
It either immediately rejects as the tone arm sets down OR it pulls some sort of double-clutch maneuver with the mechanism (goes too far?) and sets the tone arm down twice, once in the proper rotation, then again with the motor reversed - so the record is spinning the wrong way and you must press Reject to abort.
What is so much different about playing a B-side? It slides the arm assembly to the other side, but otherwise I can't detect any differences. The infamous 3M11 and 3M12 switches trip in order correctly and appear adjusted fine. If they were the problem, you'd figure A-sides wouldn't play either. Very strange problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
