Secret Santa 2012?

I ran it the past two years. Unfortunately I haven't been around too regularly and am swamped between work and home life. I will not be able to do it this year. I may participate though.

before we can all say "i'm in" lets make sure we have someone who's going to host it.

I am willing to host it but this is very short notice.

If I host it here are the ground rules I'll set. All participants will need to have their pertinent info to me by Wednesday, November the 28th. I'll random pair up guys and have the PMs sent out to participants on Friday, November the 30th. I expect all gifts mailed to the recipient by the 20th of December. Of course, this means some gifts will arrive after Christmas but with this short of notice that should be expected. I have no restrictions on who can participate but I will publicly out anyone who fails to follow through. I will also personally buy for anyone who gets shorted by a 'Santa'. I really hate the arbitrary cost limit and always exceed it but lets consider $30 to be the cap. If you spend more that is great but don't feel short changed if your gift totals out to around $30 shipped.

If I seem to be a good candidate here is what I need:
Your full name and mailing address.
Your email address.
A list of ideas for what you would like to receive.

I will not be contacting people who posted to this thread asking for participation. If you want to participate PM me and I'll add you to the list.

What are the types of things people ask for.. like arcade stuff or just stuff stuff?

Normally it is arcade related stuff. In the past people have received arcade themed shirts, marquees, complete game boards, gaming related books and videos, etc.

If you ask me for a fuel level sending unit for your 1961 Chrysler you'll likely be disappointed...

I would like some clear description of what this is.

It's a gift exchange. You provide your name and a list of items in or near the price range. Then the organizer randomly pairs you up with someone else. You know who you are buying for, but they don't know who bought them the gifts (unless u want to tell them), hence the "secret".

Just because you are buying for someone doesn't mean that they are buying for you.
