Second floor Arcade pictures and stories

I have two game rooms in my house, and one of them is upstairs. This video's from last year, so it's a bit outdated (I need to do an update with my Star Wars pin), but there's a quick tour of the upstairs game room at the 7:20 mark:

Man you have it going on..Like your pinball theme. I like the darker stuff.

I hope to get a pin someday but damn they are expensive!

Anybody got pictures or stories on theirs?

Well, not a basement or second floor story, but a problem game move nonetheless. I spent over 5 years negotiating a deal for my grail, Missile Command cockpit. Finally convinced him to sell. Rented a proper size vehicle (full size van), drove 34 hours round trip for the pick up.

Get there to find the game on the ground floor. Cool. Problem was he got the game before he did a lot of remodeling to the room. It no longer fit out the doorway it came in. After we took the door off, we had to take the door jam completely off and even then we had to scrap away at one of the side walls to get it out. But finally got it out and home and it's still my prize game.

my grail, Missile Command cockpit.

I remember seeing one back in 2002 at a building raid in Kenosha, who ended up with that one?

The funny part was it was a building raid up on the second floor of a department store. So every game had to go down a flight of stairs.

That's a good story. Like to see a video of that cockpit. I have never seen one in person.

These stairs are why I only have a handful of games in my gameroom. Everything else is in the garage...

My gameroom is in the bonus room above the garage. For years I had my brother in law move the games up there via his back-hoe with a fork attachment:

But I hated having to always ask him for help so I decided to go the winch route:

Works great and if all goes well I'll be using it to move a monster VS dual-system tomorrow.

much tougher since the stairs have an angle on them. You end up hitting the wall if you go horizontal...

I had to carry a Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga Reunion down a curved staircase with a 90 degree landing near the bottom. The homeowner was a bit of a prick, and yell at us, telling us if we damaged the walls, we would pay to have them fixed. Not that I wouldn't have; he was just a jerk about it.

I took help, but it took my friend and 2 of the homeowner's "lawn care specialists" to get it down the stairs.

Man..Why didn't you put the game room on the first floor??!?
I passed on a house for dead 4 shooter here in Houston for good price because getting it up would take 4 people and a prayer...

I have 5 up there now and three getting restored in the garage right now.

Really want a shooter but the weight issues getting it up is tough...

Just had the house built and had the floor reinforced knowing I was bring these games up.

I joke to my wife since I have a balcony off the game room I was going to install a winch to bring them up that way..
