Here in Texas we generally don't have basements to put our arcades in and lot of the newer houses have game rooms on the second floor.

Anybody got pictures or stories on theirs?

Here's my second story Texas game room. Believe it or not, I've added a Gyruss and a second pinball machine since this video. I had to move my multi to my office.

That is awesome!! You have most of my top tens on your room.

I really want a tempest and a Star Trek in mine. Just finishing up restoring a Sinistar and hopefully going up next week.

Real fun getting these up there right?

My brother in law has a pool table on his second floor, I have passed on a bunch of games because they were on the second floor.

Oh yeah. I have a muscle relaxer or anti inflammatory prescription for just about every game! Most recently, I added Data East Time Machine. That was easy, by comparison.

I passed on a house for dead 4 shooter here in Houston for good price because getting it up would take 4 people and a prayer...

I have 5 up there now and three getting restored in the garage right now.

Really want a shooter but the weight issues getting it up is tough...

Just had the house built and had the floor reinforced knowing I was bring these games up.

I joke to my wife since I have a balcony off the game room I was going to install a winch to bring them up that way..

I live in an upstairs apartment and have 13 machines now. Mostly candy cabs, but also a massive Groove Coaster 3.

These break down into some incredibly manageable pieces. Got our deluxe upstairs with just two people.

What is NOT very manageable is a Drummania...

But we got it up there after enough breaking down, and FOUR guys.

I think Candy cabs are going to be the next explosion on the market.

I really need to get one.

Even though I am an 80's guy I am warming up to them.

Nice to know they are manageable.

Let me know if you get a good lead on one.

They remind me a little of my ultimate piece the Star Trek Cockpit.

I hope so. Maybe the prices on the ones I want will go back down.

Mine..

Took 3 hrs on Christmas Eve to get the SW Trilogy game up the stairs... lol

Kids loved it when they saw it Christmas morning. :)

I wondered about trilogy if it was doable.

Thanks. Now I know.

I sold my Hard drivin because I know that would kill me getting it upstairs with the top mounted monitor and weighed a ton...

Angel (B-boy Tekken ) has some candy cabs but he's stingy :) maybe contact him.

Not too late...The disposable income to that age group has not happened yet...

Born in 86 here. Lots of disposable income. :p

Started collecting ten years ago and you could swoop up most candies for $300, even on the east coast. Now even the cheaper/lesser cabs usually go for 650+ unless you get lucky, and some of the nicer ones are obnoxiously priced in comparison.

Gotta remember, kids who would've been old enough to go to the arcade when Street Fighter 2 hit are now 30+. I figure they're more or less the majority of the JAMMA-era collectors as that was their childhood.

Well it's not my house, and the guy is on here, so I'll let him comment further if he wants to, but a good buddy of mine, just a regular guy, not rich or eccentric or anything, lives in a regular house and all, got an elevator installed in his house. It's awesome for moving games. He has to get it inspected by the city every year and all.

Note: He never asks for help anymore moving games. :D

I have two game rooms in my house, and one of them is upstairs. This video's from last year, so it's a bit outdated (I need to do an update with my Star Wars pin), but there's a quick tour of the upstairs game room at the 7:20 mark:

Now that would make a good video!
