i just bought a seawolf, one of the pcb's has a nice ol' burn mark so i would just be guessing here but i think that would not be good and the reason for the game not working the other board is in good shape anyone have a board or know of any? thanks

Chances are its the power supply pcb and it can be fixed...a pic would help. I had two power supply pcbs but i believe theyre spoken for.

the board in question is part of a two board set. it would be the board that faces you as you open the back. i believe the power board is on the other side of the cab. but i know very little

still looking for seawolf board set ....anybody?

If you're looking to buy a working pcb set then you need to start a thread in the WTB subforum as only a few people read the help subforums. However until you verify that your power supply is working properly, I wouldn't buy another set of boards. As a general rule you should verify the power supply is up to snuff on a dead game before messing with anything else. Vintage power supplies need some type of work on 99% of dead games so start there. If you don't know how to use a voltmeter and don't intend on learning how to solder, then I would start by looking for someone to rebuild the ps for you.

Regardless of what you do it's difficult to help someone without pics so you really need to take some photos for us ;).

update: ok this is where i am at. the latest is now the game seems to be playing blind. tim c u said it may be the ps. i get the screen to come on but it is just a white screen. after reading a lot of posts the majority have been ps. ok whats the best way to check this. i am new to this hobby.

are you hearing the game being played in the background, indicating the playing blind? kinda past my abilities at this point but i would try at least making sure the brightness and or contrast on the monitor aren't cranked up all the way, causing that.

i'll try that thanks but yes iam hearing the game. the ping, the torpedo counter lights and makes the correct sound. the hits light and explode sound and that annoying pt boat sounds off every 10 seconds brrrrrrrr...... ok 20 min later ive turned the dials and no change just a white screen
